writing backend
So I'm currently working on setting up mySQL tables to migrate all these old posts, as well as future posts to a blogspot-esque backbone. It's been so lon since I've done anything with mySQL, so I've had to pretty much re-read the entire manual for mySQL datatypes, etc. Lots of fun.
I pretty much want to be able to add posts to this website and have the entire thing pretty much automatic. Kind of simple but a nice excercise in reviewing PHP and mySQL.

upgrades!

Two 250GB HDDS plus two 1.5TB HDDs equals 3.5 terabytes of storage.
Should hold for another year or two. Need to add some hard drive fans to make sure this thing stays cool. Even in the blistering Vancouver summer.

lol, work to do
so things to do :
- set up a compatible, lightweight sql database (sqlite?)
- bring back torrentflux and restore remote torrent access and previous capabilities
- expand hard drive capacity further
- write a proper backend for this terrible website
